Acts 2:42 (Small Groups)
"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and to prayer." ACTS 2:42
In this large, friendly parish, it's always fun to meet and greet new faces. It's also important to have a place of belonging. You'll find a small group is a place where you'll get to know others, build friendships, and grow in your Christian faith. Acts 2:42 groups are those who are committed to growing in their faith through Bible study, and prayer.
What are Acts 2:42 groups?
Acts 2:42 groups are those who are committed to growing in their faith through Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Some groups discuss the sermon and study the Sunday scripture readings, others select a Bible study.
Just as Jesus had 12 disciples, Acts 2:42 groups follow the model of being small so that we can get to know one another. Acts 2:42 groups have
been known to be there for each other in times of celebration and sorrow, encouraging each other on our spiritual journey. Some groups meet weekly, others monthly. In this growing parish, Acts 2:42 groups are an important way to be and stay connected. To join a group or start a new one, contact Tina Campbell at tcampbell@saint-peters.net.
“Participating in an Acts 2:42 group
has done so much to deepen my
relationships with other Christians by
bringing us together to share our
common struggles and understanding
of God’s Word.” Michelle Ubben
