Welcome to St. Peter’s Children’s Ministry!

Welcome back for the spring term! I kicked off this term by attending a huge conference in Orlando for Children’s Ministry. There were over 3,000 people in attendance! There were lights, music, prayers, events, networking, speakers – and most importantly, you could see God’s power at work. I came back to Tallahassee renewed and refreshed with ideas – some common sense and some life changing! You will begin to see some of the fruits of that trip this spring. The first addition will be in our Nursery. We will begin a curriculum with our youngest of parishioners. Each month, children will learn about a bible story and have weekly activities. There will be a take-home sheet for parents to reinforce the lessons at home. More changes and improvements on the way!
Faithweaver Friends is in already in full swing. We are working our way through the life of Jesus leading up to Easter. Each week, we learn a bible verse, present a dramatization and do crafts and activities to reinforce the lesson. Once the sun stays up a bit longer in the evening, we will resume play outside prior to class. We’d love to see your children join us on Wednesday nights!
Sunday school is going exceptionally well. We have a dedicated group of volunteer teachers that work hard each week to provide a wonderful lesson for your children. These years are crucial in providing an adequate spiritual foundation for your children. I encourage you to bring your children to Sunday school each week, and engage them in conversation after class each week.
Mom to Mom is celebrating our year anniversary. This group was created last year to support women who are trying to start a family, those who suffer from miscarriage or infertility, those who are currently pregnant and those with children age 3 and under. This is an exciting time in the life of a family and we want to be there to support you. Activities are posted in the Keys each week – please join us anytime.
Keep your eyes and ears open! Summer Wednesday night, Summer Sunday school and VBS information is coming soon! Looking forward to a wonderful springtime at St. Peter’s!
