The hope of the concert series is that the listener will be blessed by the sounds and touched by the giver of the gift of sounds, so that they might be drawn closer to Him, our Lord, in appreciation for what He has given us, most especially His son, Jesus Christ. Come share in the fellowship we have in music and experience the excellence of some great musicians who's first love is Jesus Christ.

This 2011-12 Concert Series will feature world class Christian musicians in recital such as Anne Martindale Williams, Paul Jones, and the American Boy Choir. Also St. Peter's Advent Lessons and Carols program and a concert from our own members at St. Peter's.

American Boy Choir

The American Boychoir is regarded as the United States’ premier concert boys’ choir. Under the leadership of Fernando Malvar-Ruiz, Litton-Lodal Music Director, The American Boychoir continues to dazzle audiences with its unique blend of musical sophistication, effervescent spirit, and ensemble virtuosity.

Lenten Choral Evensong with the choirs of St. Peter’s Church
Thursday, March 15 at 7:00 pm
Join us for this beautiful Anglican worship service of evening prayer set to music.

There is no charge for the January and March events; however a freewill offering will be taken to defray expenses.

Advent Lessons and Carols

The very first Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols was held on Christmas Eve 1918 at King’s College Chapel (Cambridge). The service was planned by Eric Milner-White, who at the age of thirty-four had just been appointed Dean of King’s College. After his service as an army chaplain, he decided that the Church of England needed “more imaginative worship”. And thus began the yearly tradition of re-telling the story of our redemption – from prophecy to fulfillment – through Holy Scripture and music.
