The mission of St. Peter's Adult Formation Ministry is to lead adults into a deeper appreciation and living out of their baptism so as to build up the body of Christ. The process of Christian formation is one which has no end as our growth in holiness and knowledge and love of the Lord is not complete until we see God face to face. Through a variety of learning opportunities, St. Peter's Church equips adults to be more effective disciples of and witnesses for Jesus Christ in the world.
In addition, St. Peter's offers classes year-round. Please visit other pages of this section that may be of help to you in your spiritual development, including:
- Adult Sunday School
- The Book Cellar, St. Peter's bookstore
- St. Peter's Duke Fellows program

The Catechumenate
Are you seeking to prepare for the sacrament of Holy Baptism? Would you like to receive instruction in the Christian faith? Are you seeking a way to renew your faith? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions then the Catechumenate is for you!
The Catechumenate has its origins in the early years of the Church. Over a period lasting from one to three years, converts to Christianity were taught the basics of the Christian faith before receiving the sacrament of Holy Baptism. St. Peter's continues this ancient practice in a contemporary form and offers this experience to any interested adult.
Learn more about the Catechumenal Process at St. Peter's.
Children's Catechumenate
By emphasizing The Holy Baptism, The Holy Eucharist, Ministries of the Church, Clergy involvement, Mission, Exploration, and Church Etiquette with a hands on approach at a level the children can understand, relate to and engage in, we accomplish our goal of bringing our children up as full participating members of the Body of Christ.
For more information, please see the Children's Catechumenate page in the Children's Ministry section, or contact Carol Long, Director of Christian Formation, St. Peter's Anglican Church, Tallahassee, Florida, clong@saint-peters.net.
