Good Samaritan Ministry
This ministry is designed to help people who come to the doors of St. Peter’s in a financial crisis as well as St. Peter’s parishioners who have fallen on hard times. The staff, priests and parishioners of St. Peter’s demonstrate the love of Christ by listening to their story, praying with them, and getting them to the community program best suited to help all without neglecting their basic needs. Help has been provided in the following ways:
-
Food Bags are provided for our people off the street
-
Food cards are provided for those in crisis in need of groceries
-
Transportation has been provided for those stranded in our city or who are challenged in getting around Tallahassee.
- Shelter has been provided as a bridge to families or vulnerable citizens in times of crisis.
Forty-two percent of Good Samaritan resources have provided help to members of our own St. Peter’s Families. All resources are funded by donation. If you would like to help fund the Good Samaritan program, please write a check to St. Peter’s Anglican Church with Good Samaritan program in the memo line. For more information on the Good Samaritan Program, please contact Vicki Bertoch at vickibertoch@msn.com or call the Church office.
