Men's Celebrate Recovery
First three Saturdays of every month
Wakulla Correctional Institution
This is a Christ centered recovery program based on the beatitudes. This ministry seeks to celebrate God’s healing and redemptive power in our lives through the “8 Recovery Principles” by Rick Warren. The men’s prison ministry uses these principles to help those in prison experience change, allow God’s grace to help them solve life’s problems, and allow them to be released from their addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors that have been holding them back from authentic joy in their life. This is held on the first three Saturdays of every month at the Wakulla Correctional Center. Celebrate Recovery is held on the first three Saturdays of every month at the Wakulla Correctional Center. Kairos Prison Ministry
October 28-31
Madison Correctional Institution
Kairos addresses the spiritual needs of incarcerated men. Kairos volunteers go into prisons in teams, share the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, share meals, and fellowship with the incarcerated on a one-to-one basis. The first visit is a three-day event, during which time the team teaches a short introductory course on Christianity. Subsequent visits are monthly half-day reunions with the prisoners over a twelve-month period held on the last Saturday of each month. To find out more, call Patrick Madden at 385-0259 or 443-0284.
