Simply Christian: Why Christianity Makes Sense was written by Bishop Tom Wright, Bishop of Durham (England) and one of the world’s most highly regarded New Testament scholars. Making use of this book and video segments featuring Bishop Tom, this class explores the major features of the Christian faith, the Trinity, Jesus, Jesus’ death and resurrection, the Holy Spirit, the Church as God’s people, the nature of Christian worship and prayer, Holy Scripture and the new creation. This class may be taken in addition to Alpha, in place of Alpha or simply for personal growth. All adults and high school students are welcome.
Participants need to purchase a copy of Simply Christian by N. T. Wright (available in St. Peter’s Book Cellar) for the class. To register, contact Fr. Michael Petty at mpetty@saint-peters.net.
