Walking the Stations of the Cross
The Stations of the Cross is an ancient devotion which allows participants to walk with Jesus to the Cross and is an especially appropriate discipline for the season of Lent.
Stations of the Cross for Lent
Walk with Jesus to the Cross as a discipline for Lent. At 5:30 pm on each of the Fridays during the season of Lent (February 19 through March 26) a guided group walk through the Stations of the Cross will be offered at the church. The fourteen Stations of the Cross begin with Jesus’ trial before Pilate and end with his body being placed in the tomb. This devotion is an ideal way to ponder Jesus’ act of self-sacrifice for us. It takes about 25 minutes. The Stations of the Cross at Taproots can be walked at any time of the day Questions about the Stations can be directed to Fr. Petty at mpetty@saint-peters.net
However, any individual or group can walk the Stations at any time at either the church or at Taproots by using the guidebooks at each location (found underneath the carport at the Church or one of the mailboxes at Taproots). If you have questions about the Stations or would like instruction, contact Fr. Petty at mpetty@saint-peters.net.
