St. Peter’s Church is currently involved with the South Rwenzori Diocese of Uganda in two major areas.

  1. The first is a commitment to improve the area health system. We are currently sending one to two medical teams per year. Each of thesemissions lasts 2 weeks and consists of physicians and dentists as well as other medical and non-medical personnel. The primary purpose of these missions is to educate local health care workers while delivering care to patients in the area. There are also opportunities for long term missionaries who feel called to use their gifts. In the past, long term missionaries have stayed for 6 weeks to 6 months.

  2. The second commitment is evangelical. St. Peter’s has sent one college mission to Uganda to minister to young adults through evangelizing and forming long term relationships. Our goal is to continue sending teams to develop a local program for Ugandan youths.

Should you feel called to join us on one of these missions, or would like to become a long termmissionary, please contact Jill Ashoo at jill@saint-peters.net.
