Africa Alert 
A notorious scam artist in Uganda is continuing to send out bogus emails, which purport to come from Uganda bishops or even the Archbishop, asking for money. The pretext is often medical care for the bishop’s wife. The scammer’s email address usually ends in @graffiti.net. Do not reply to these emails, and do not send any money. Bishop Nzerebende has requested that all money going from St. Peter’s to South Rwenzori be routed through his office, so he can set priorities. 

Prayers for Uganda
Keep our diocese of South Rwenzori, and the country of Uganda in your prayers. They are contemplating forming an East African Federation with Tanzania and Kenya, with the purpose of forming a democratic alliance in the region. The constant tension and threat of the theocracy of Islam is very real there. This is a courageous statement, and they need prayer support. Also pray for protection from disease, another constant menace for the African people.

Compassion for a Ugandan Child
A precious little girl is available for sponsorship through Compassion International. Jesca is from Maliba, in our Diocese of South Rwenzori, Uganda. Just $32 a month will give her a life and a future she could not otherwise imagine. See Diane Biederman to “adopt” her.

Kagando Mission Hospital Foundation, Inc.
Kagando Mission Hospital Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer organization established to support the Kagando Hospital and Rural Development Center (KARUDEC) in Southwestern Uganda, East Africa.. The mission of KARUDEC is to improve the physical and spiritual wellbeing of the poor and disadvantaged. KARUDEC encourages community participation and emphasizes prevention. The needs of the people are great. The resources to help them are small.
