Women's Ministry
From Bible study to fellowship, there are many opportunities for the Women of St. Peter’s to get to know, love and encourage each other, while growing in our Christian faith.
Women at the Well
Thursdays, September 11 - December 11
This weekly Bible study on Isaiah is open to all women of St. Peter’s, and a great opportunity to include any family, friends and neighbors. It’s a unique study in that all of St. Peter’s priests will rotate the teachings along with Sonya Cronin, another gifted teacher, each one giving a different perspective. Small group conversations will follow with a time to visit with one another over coffee. The morning begins at an earlier time this year so note 9:15 a.m. on Thursdays. Child care provided. For more information, contact Belinda Dudley at 668-9962 or visit the Adult Formation's classes page.
Mary & Martha Circle
Sept. 8, Oct. 13, Nov. 10, Dec. 8
Better known as the “M&M’s”, the Mary & Martha Circle meets at 10:00 a.m. on the second Monday of each month at Taproots. The main service projects are serving lemonade and coffee between services and supporting our seminarians. Each month, the program reflects either our “Mary” side or our “Martha” side. Women of all ages welcome! For more information, contact Joyce McNeill at 894-3052 or Lee Ard at 906-9666.
Breakaway Brunch
Take a break from your Saturday morning errands for mimosas and brunch and a time to mingle. It’s also a chance to use your gift of hospitality or the gift of helps to plan this fun morning gathering! Child care provided.
Anglican 4th Day – Women’s Weekend
Women from St. Peter’s and other AANF churches retreat to Dowling Park for an amazing weekend. It’s a relaxed time of listening to and discussing talks given by the clergy and laity, prayer, worship, songs, recreation, laughter and moments of reflection and quiet. It’s a chance to get away from the everyday rush and spend time with God.
Holiday Coffee
“Tis the season for a festive morning over coffee and holiday nibbles at Taproots! All St. Peter’s women are the guests of honor. The Mary & Martha Circle will be the hostesses of this annual gathering. This is a great opportunity to introduce a friend to St. Peter’s, and a time for getting to know one another. Child care will definitely be provided!
Women’s One Day Retreat
The theme at our SteinhatcheeWomen’s Retreat was Live! Love! Laugh! And we did! It was such a great experience that we’re planning a one-day version at Taproots featuring a speaker that you will all love! Stay tuned for more!!
Lenten Prayer Retreat
In Lent 2008, parishioners were so inspired by this morning getaway to Taproots that we’remaking it an annual Lenten discipline. The morning will be full of prayer and quiet retreat time, wrapped up with time to gather over bowls of home-made soup. Contact Carol Long at clong@saint-peters.net for more information or to register.
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying...”
