Anglican Student Association
The Anglican Student Association is a Registered Student Organization at The Florida State University dedicated to living the Jesus way by loving and serving others while worshiping the God revealed in Jesus Christ. It exists to provide interested students opportunities to gather for fellowship, worship, service and study. You don’t have to be an Anglican to be part of the group. Students interested in Anglicanism or Christianity, or those simply interested in living the Jesus way are most welcome. Those who are not yet followers of Jesus are also welcome to join us as we seek to learn and grow and live lives that reflect the goodness of our God.
Sunday Evenings
Veritas – An Anglican Service of Praise
Location: St. Peter's, 5:00 p.m.
Veritas (Latin for Truth) is a Sunday evening worship service at St. Peter’s that is both ancient and new, traditional and contemporary. It is a service that combines the ancient liturgical traditions of Anglicanismwith the best of today’s music. The atmosphere is casual yet reverent, comfortable yet holy. All worshippers are welcome! The service starts at 5:00 pm. You are invited to come as you are to be fed: body, mind, and soul.
Gorge for a George! after the service:
All college students are invited to stay afterward to “Gorge for a George.” Enjoy fellowship and dinner with other college students for only $1. We often go out for Decent Pizza, but on the first Sunday of every month we will stay at the church and enjoy a home cookedmeal prepared by the parishioners of St. Peter's.
